How Many Treatments will I Need?

The number of treatments depends on the nature of the complaint, its severity, how long the problem or problems have been present, and the overall health of the individual. Many conditions may be alleviated rapidly. Other, more chronic conditions will be relieved with slow, steady progress.

Other therapies such as massage, cupping, moxibustion and chinese herbs are often used in conjunction with acupuncture in order to heal the body more quickly.  Generally, healing is also quicker when recommended exercises are done and lifestyle changes are made; therefore it is very important to take an active role in your healing process.

What is Cupping?

Cupping is an ancient art and practice that is used all over the world due to its wide range of uses and effectiveness.  A vacuum is created inside of a cup (usually glass, silicon or plastic) to create a suction and is then placed or moved along very specific points and/or areas of the body. The cupping techniques used are very specific to the person being treated.  This therapy is very useful in releasing areas of blockage, restoring circulation, detoxifying and removing pathogens from the body.  It is commonly used to treat acute or chronic musculoskeletal problems/injuries and rehabilitation, detoxification, colds/sinus congestion, and sustaining health and wellness.

What is moxibustion?

Moxa is a Chinese herb, also know as mugwort.  When moxa is burned, it is called moxibustion.  The smoke and heat produced from the burning of moxa is used to warm acupuncture points and other areas of the body to promote circulation and aide in healing.  This therapy can be incredibly soothing and comforting.

What is Dragon's Way Qigong®️ ?

Dragon's Way Qigong®️ is a comprehensive wellness program that brings the body back to balance.  It emphasizes Qigong practice and includes healthy eating and lifestyle guidance.

Developed by Grandmaster Nan Lu, Dragon's Way Qigong®️embraces the body's innate wisdom to heal itself. All healing happens on the Qi level.  Qi is life force that animates your entire being.  When Qi is flowing freely, the body is able to adjust itself without side effects.  Then there is a sense of balance and freedom.

TEN select Qigong movements are the cornerstone of this program's success.  When practiced regularly, they have the ability to "clean up" the body and increase energy (Qi).  They are easy to do and can be practiced by everyone.  This program is based on the ancient system of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), one of the oldest holistic medical systems in the world.
